The Creek Club is so named because of the water of Richland Creek, which features heavily in most of the holes. In fact, you won’t be able to escape playing over the creek on 8 of the 14 holes that feature Richland Creek, because the layout of the course makes it impossible to play out to the side or around it—these 8 holes are forced carries.
